Dr. Tejwant Singh, from Department of Chemistry, GNDU addressed the students and apprised them of the latest developments and research in the field of ionic liquids.\u00a0He gave an account of the applications of ionic liquids in nanotechnology, environmental chemistry, biomedical science, electronic devices and in green chemistry. &#8220;These play a major role in day to day life and thus the Chemistry affects us in daily life\u2019\u2019, he stated as he shared his research work with the audience. The talk was followed by interactive session, in which the speaker answered to the queries of the participants.\u00a0Dr. Randhir Singh conducted the stage and gave an overview of the activities of department. Dr. M.S. Batra, Head, Department of Chemistry welcomed the guest speaker and shared the importance of invited lectures and seminars with students.\u00a0 Principal Dr. Mehal Singh welcomed the guest speaker and emphasized that the science is growing and developing very fast and to keep pace with the latest developments in the field such seminars are extremely important as they familiarize the students and faculty with the recent advances in the subject.\u00a0He encouraged the students to participate and interact in such seminars as such exchanges will help them to understand the subject and will boost their confidence.\u00a0\u00a0 On this occasion Prof. Boony Birgi, Prof. Balwinder Kaur Basra, Dr. Baljinder kaur Randhawa, Dr. Hardeep Kaur, Dr. Kultar Singh, Dr. Reshu, Dr. Punita, Dr. Kirandeep Kaur, Dr. Seema, Dr. Rajwinder Kaur, Dr. Mohamad Arshad, Dr. Harkeerat Kaur, Dr. J.S.
