The contest was held at SL Bhavan\u2019s on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> April. The topic for the contest was \u2018Beti Bacho, Beti Padao\u2019. As many as 13 schools from in and around Amritsar participated in the contest which had 26 participants presenting their thoughts and views on a very critical issue related to the upbringing of girl child in our society. Garvika, with her impressive performance and imposing speech gained the highest applause of the judges and the audience and bagged the first prize in the contest. She\u00a0 was awarded a trophy and a gift hamper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regional Director , Punjab Zone \u2013 A , Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra\u00a0 and the Manager of the school Dr, Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar congratulated the student for her brilliant performance and blessed her for her future endeavors.
