The sports department of the school organised the matches under the guidance of the Principal Dr. Neera\u00a0 Sharma with the aim to encourage participation in sports and develop qualities of leadership, Co \u2013 operation , discipline , fair play and team spirit. Much excitement was seen among the students who performed to their best, keeping the spirit of the game high. The students were divided into four teams. The semifinal matches were held between science stream and Arts Stream and commerce A &amp; B and Commerce C &amp; D. The final match\u00a0 was held between Science Stream and Commerce\u00a0 A &amp; B . The final match ,\u00a0 which was a tough match was won by Commerce A &amp; B\u00a0 2 \u2013 1, Some scintillating\u00a0 shots and performances par excellence were witnessed during the matches.<\/p>\n<p>Regional Director , Punjab Zone\u00a0 &#8211; A , \u00a0Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra \u00a0and the Manager of the school \u00a0Dr. Rajesh\u00a0 Kumar , Principal DAV College Amritsar congratulated the winning\u00a0 team and said that such activities would help\u00a0 in the all round development of the students.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Neera Sharma \u00a0Principal of the school showed her satisfaction at the successful conclusion of the tournament . She encouraged the students and the teachers who have put in their best for the tournament.
