Amritsar, Sept. 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the aegis of DAV CAE, Regional Training Centre Punjab Zone A, DAV CMC, New Delhi, a Capacity Building Programme for Teachers teaching English, Maths, Science, S St, Hindi, Punjabi to Std III – V, History to Std XI\u00a0 & \u00a0XII and co-curricular subjects (Phy Edu, Yoga, Fine Arts, Dance and Music) to Std \u00a0LKG – X was held at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar on 10th<\/sup> September,2016. In her message \u00a0Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Regional Director Punjab Zone \u2013 A \u00a0said that the objective of these workshops was to bring a qualitative improvement in the teaching \u2013 learning process with the aim of enhancing learner achievement. She added that being educators, we must always upgrade ourselves to deal with changing trends in education. She blessed them and \u00a0enthused in them the desire to learn and perform.<\/p>\n 240 Teachers from 7 schools, DAV International School, Police DAV Public School , BBK DAV Public School, Yaseen Road, DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar,, GND DAV School, Bhikhiwind, MKD DAV School, Attari, \u00a0, and JRS DAV Public School, Chabal\u00a0 under Punjab Zone A , participated in the workshop. The workshops were interactive and fruitful learning experiences for one and all where they stressed upon the use of power point presentations, activities, interactive sessions and use of other visual medium for better understanding and learning.<\/p>\n Many activities were performed during the workshop which the teachers can use in their class to encourage the students and motivate them to enhance their skills. They distributed handouts and other worksheets which the teachers can use in their class and also touched the intricacies of lesson planning. In the end the queries of the teachers were taken up. The workshops were a huge success as many new techniques were discussed.<\/p>\n Dr. Neera Sharma , Principal DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , Amritsar thanked the Chief Guest and all the participants for joining the workshop. She said that knowledge is added by sharing and workshops and seminars are a right platform to learn from each other.
