On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of\u00a0 India adopted Hindi written in Devnagri Script as the official language of the Union.\u00a0During the special programme presented by the students on this occasion they spoke about the importance of Hindi. They quoted Dr. Rajendra Prasad , who said that Hindi as a language will bind the whole nation and play an important role in spreading harmony. Even Swami Dayanand and Mahatma Gandhi\u00a0 believed that Hindi can unite\u00a0 the whole nation and take it on the path\u00a0 of progress. In a short role \u2013 play , a student dressed as Mother India\u00a0 with placards and slogans of Hindi as the National language ,gave the message of promoting Hindi and taking\u00a0 pride in speaking it . The students recited\u00a0 poems and spoke about its history and importance.\u00a0Regional Director Punjab Zone \u2013 A , Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam\u00a0 Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh\u00a0 Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar congratulated the students on Hindi Diwas and said that it was our duty to show respect to our National language and spread and promote\u00a0 it throughout the world.\u00a0Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school while addressing the students on this occasion said\u00a0 that Hindi is our pride and we should aim\u00a0 at giving it a global status.\u00a0 She advised the students to expand their vocabulary of Hindi and use this rich language to the maximum.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amritsar, Sept. 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) &#8211; DAV Public School, Lawrence Road celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm.
