The first ever trekking expedition undertaken by the unit, it tested the courage, resolve and stamina of all the 13 team members. The expedition was aimed to inculcate sense of adventurism, mental robustness and camaraderie amongst the members to carry on exploration of remote areas. The expedition was earlier flagged off on 31 October 2016 by GOC.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-77542\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PPN12112016021.jpg\" alt=\"ppn1211201602\" width=\"1024\" height=\"478\" srcset=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PPN12112016021.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PPN12112016021-300x140.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 During the expedition the team interacted with locals enroute especially ex-servicemen of the remote villages. The team was instrumental in carrying out various <em>Sadbhavna<\/em> activities to include distribution of basic medicines, blankets, stationery to elderly and children respectively.\u00a0 The team also encouraged locals to join the Army and urged the local sports talent to go for upcoming sports quota recruitment. The team successfully completed the expedition and covered a distance of approximately 150 Kms, over a period of ten days. The team has explored the region and interacted with the locals enroute and spread the message of indomitable spirit and \u2018Will to Win\u2019 of the Army, amongst them.
