The team comprising of 12 members is led by Lieutenant Sawan Verma of 10 GUARDS. The Cycle expedition will traverse the arduous terrain of Himachal Pradesh with the team scaling various mountainous features, the highest being Marhi at an altitude of approximately 11000 feet. The expedition members will be self-contained in all the respects for the duration of the expedition and will cover a total distance of 422 Km of inhospitable terrain in nine days. \u00a0The expedition has been launched with the aim to develop team spirit, camaraderie, character building and leadership qualities among the troops as well as to motivate the youth of far flung hilly areas to join the great Indian Army.
