{"id":95897,"date":"2017-05-13T17:31:17","date_gmt":"2017-05-13T17:31:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/?p=95897"},"modified":"2017-05-13T17:31:17","modified_gmt":"2017-05-13T17:31:17","slug":"central-government-notifies-exemption-quoting-aadhaar-enrolment-id-certain-individuals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/95897","title":{"rendered":"Central Government notifies Exemption from Quoting Aadhaar \/ Enrolment ID to certain individuals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New Delhi, May 13 (Punjab Post Bureau)- <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35907\" src=\"https:\/\/punjabpost.in\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Adhar-card.jpg\" alt=\"Adhar card\" width=\"478\" height=\"301\" \/>The Central Government vide notification dated 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0May, 2017 has notified that the requirement of quoting of\u00a0<em>Aadhaar<\/em>\u00a0\/ Enrolment ID shall not apply to the following individuals if they do not possess the<em>Aadhaar<\/em>\u00a0\/ Enrolment ID:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0An individual who is residing in the state of Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and Meghalaya.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>An individual who is a non-resident as per the Income-tax Act, 1961.<\/li>\n<li>An individual of the age of eighty years or more at any time during the previous year.<\/li>\n<li>An individual who is not a citizen of India.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The notification is available on the Income Tax website\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.incometaxindia.gov.in\/\"><strong><em>www.incometaxindia.gov.in<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Section 139AA of the Income-tax Act, 1961, as inserted by the Finance Act, 2017 provides for mandatory quoting of\u00a0<em>Aadhaar<\/em>\u00a0\/ Enrolment ID of\u00a0<em>Aadhaar<\/em>\u00a0application form for filing of return of income and for making an application for allotment of Permanent Account Number with effect from 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0July, 2017.
