Home isolation control centre plays significant role to save precious lives

Kapurthala, September 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – With a single motive to save the precious human lifes from covid 19, the home isolation control centre at DAC (district administration complex) Kapurthala has played an important role to keep a check on CSR (case mortality rate) by keeping hawk eye on health status of covid positive persons .

                 As the Punjab Government has allowed the home isolation for positive persons, the role of home isolation control centre has increased many folds. Controlling the centre at DAC Dr. Manjit kumar said that the centre have more than 800 incoming and outgoing phone calls besides have thousands of whats app messages about the health status of home isolated persons.

                He said that “it’s not only a data base unit but provides authentic feedback, case studies in positive cases as they called the patients on daily basis to encourage him to beat the covid with strong mental health.

                    He said that the NCC volunteers at centre generally enquire about the oxygen level , temperature and heart beat etc from the home isolated persons and if in any case the oxygen level falls below 95 level they immediately calls the ambulance to provide the medical facilities to the concerned at hospitals.

                  The volunteers belongs to the NCC are working tirelessly under the guidance of col. Hitesh Duggal from 21st Punjab battalion. They all are also covered under insurance policy of the Union Government to facilitate the government employees.
