Higher educational institutions are also allowed to open for research work
Kapurthala, September 20 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal has issued fresh 
guidelines under unlock -4 according to the orders of the home department Punjab. These orders will remain enforce till September 30..
In the orders higher education institutions are allow to open for Ph.D scholars and post graduate students of technical and professional programmes requiring laboratories and experimental works from September 21. However, schools, colleges and coaching centres will remain closed.
Deputy Commissioner said that online distance learning shall continue to be permitted and encouraged but schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will remain closed for students and regular classes.
She also made it clear that 50 percent of the teaching and non-teaching staff would be allowed to attend schools at a time for online teaching/tele counseling and related work in areas outside the containment zones, only as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Students from class 9th to 12th are permitted to visit the schools in the area outside containment zones only on voluntary basis for taking guidance from teachers. This will be subject to written consent of their parents.
Skill and entrepreneurship training are permitted in national skill training institute, industrial training institutes, short term training centres registered with national skill Development Corporation or state skill development mission.
Activities of national institutes of entrepreneurship and small business development, indian institutes of entrepreneurship and their training providers are also allowed.
Open air theaters are permitted to open with social distancing and other health protocols norms but cinema halls, swimming polls and entertainment parks would remain closed.
