Amritsar, January 27 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm and patriotic zeal at DAV Public School keeping in mind all the safety norms. Covid 19 could in no way dampen the spirit of patriotism and the staff and the students paid tribute to all the freedom fighters and great leaders of India. On this day in the year 1950 India was declared as a sovereign socialist, secular and Democratic Republic. To commemorate these historic event speeches were delivered by the teachers and they exhibited their pride on being an Indian by singing the National Anthem and patriotic songs.
On this occasion everyone resolved to contribute their bit in eradicating all that ails India. The teachers present enlightened the students about the glorious past of India and also motivated them to be righteous citizens. Mrs. Inderjit supervisor of Std – XI and XII (Arts) informed everyone present about the importance of following the words laid down in the constitution to the core.
Regional Officer Punjab Zone (A) Dr. Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Mrs. Pushpinder Walia extended their greetings and inspired the students to follow the ideals of their forefathers.
Principal Mrs. Anita Mehra awakened the patriotic spirit in the students guiding them not only to ask for their rights but also fulfill their duties towards their nation.
