University organized online interaction ‘Our Alumni Our Pride’

Amritsar, April 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Chemistry Alumni Association of the Guru Nanak Dev University with the support from Chemical Society organized an event on the theme “Our Alumni Our Pride”. The event was organized under the dynamic leadership of worthy Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Dean Alumni Association Prof. Atul Khanna.

        Er. Parambir Singh Malhi (Teacher Incharge, Chemistry Alumni Association & Chemical Society) welcomed the guests and introduced about the theme of the event. Prof. Sukhprit Singh addressed the audience and elaborated role of Department Alumni Chapter and applauded the efforts of the Department Alumni team for organizing these types of events. He said that the main idea is to motivate the present students and to make them aware that some very challenging opportunities in Chemistry.

            Under this event, prominent alumni of Department of Chemistry Dr. Ravinder J. Singh, Director, Mayo Clinic Endocrine Laboratory USA interacted with the students. Dr. Singh narrated his experience at GNDU and guided the students on how to prepare for successful career in Chemistry in India or Abroad.  Alumni Relations Manager of Chemical Society Love Jasraj and Arunav Ranjeev interacted with Dr. Singh and asked various questions related to life of Dr. Singh and various opportunities for students. A total of 100 people attended the live interaction session.

            The event Concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Manvika Bhatt (General Secretary of Chemical Society) and Yatin Batra (Department Representative) who thanked the alumni for participating in the event and sharing their valuable Knowledge. Further, Yatin Batra informed that this is the first event under the initiative “Our Alumni Our Pride”, similar events will be organized and will try to connect maximum number of alumni with our present students.
