Kapurthala, April 23 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In an important order to ensure uninterrupted supply to hospitals to provide treatment to patients, Deputy Commissioner cum district Magistrate Mrs. Deepti Uppal has ordered that the selected industry will not get oxygen after the demand of hospitals met.
She said that due to the rapid increase in the number of cases of corona, more oxygen is required in the hospitals to save the lives of the patients.
The Deputy Commissioner said that only after completing the supply of oxygen to the hospitals, oxygen should be supplied to 9 industries which need it.
The industries includes Ampoules and vials, pharmaceutical, petroleum refineries, steel plants, nuclear energy facilities, oxygen cylinders manufacturers, waste water treatment plants, food and water purification , process industries which requires uninterrupted operation of furnaces, process etc.
She also clarified that even after supplying complete oxygen to the hospitals, the supply of oxygen to the above 9 industries would be done only after getting the approval from Anupam Kalia, Drug Control Officer (98784-17208) Kapurthala.
