Amritsar, June 8 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The confederation of UNESCO clubs in India organized an webinar on the
issue of environment under the chairmanship of Dr. S.S Chhina. The representatives of the UNESCO clubs from 28 states and union territories participated in it. In this webinar Ashwani Sharma (Guhati), N.N Mishra (Bhuvneshwar), Jogesh Secretory General (Agra), Shri Bardoi (Dibrogarh), Shri Anand (Delhi) and Shri Vinod Singh (Bihar) were present.
While delivering the presidential address Dr. Chhina explained that pressure of population on the sources are compelling the over use of sources, for agriculture, Industry and transportation, leading to pollution, perpetration of toxins in the air, water, soil and food. The heat of this imbalance in the form of global warming, and climate change is also being born by under populated countries. Mr. Siri kant environmental expert gave his views regarding addressing this problem. The one and half hour webinar was a useful discussion and it involved number of Questions and Answers.
