Bibi Jagir Kaur expresses deep grief over demise of ‘Flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh

Amritsar, June 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Bibi Jagir Kaur has expressed deep grief over the demise of S. Milkha Singh Ji, known by the name of ‘Flying Sikh’.

               SGPC president said that S. Milkha Singh made a unique name in the world with his hard work and made great achievements as a Sikh runner.

                  “With the demise of S. Milkha Singh, a source of inspiration for the sports world has passed away forever. The achievements of S. Milkha Singh are a guide for the future generation players, which will always inspire them to achieve their goal. He always fulfilled the imagination of the country and enhanced its pride and won a special place in the hearts of millions of people”, said Bibi Jagir Kaur.

                     She prayed to Akal Purakh to give strength to the family to accept His will and for the peace of the departed souls at His feet.

                      Meanwhile, the SGPC senior vice-president Surjit Singh Bhitewad, junior vice-president Baba Buta Singh, general secretary Bhagwant Singh Sialka, chief secretary Harjinder Singh Dhami and other office bearers and officials of the SGPC have also expressed their condolences to the departed soul.
