Newly elected members of DSGMC pays obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib

Bibi Jagir Kaur honours them in SGPC office

Amritsar, August 29 (Punjab Post Bureau)The winning members of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) associated with Shiromani Akali Dal thanked the Guru after paying obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib. The DSGMC members who reached here under the leadership of Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Harmeet Singh Kalka were honoured with Siropaos (robes of honour) at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib by head Granthi Giani Jagtar Singh and Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh on their arrival at Secretariat Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

               The DSGMC members were also honoured at Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) office by SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur and senior vice-president Surjit Singh Bhitewad.

                 Congratulating Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Harmeet Singh Kalka and the members accompanying them Bibi Jagir Kaur lauded the humanitarian services rendered in the recent past and hoped that they will continue to flourish the Sikh faith and serve humanity in the future.

                Bibi Jagir Kaur said that by voting for the members of Shiromani Akali Dal, the Sangat (community) of Delhi has given a strong response to the anti-Panth forces. She said that the Shiromani Akali Dal has always supported the DSGMC for Panthic work and would continue to do so in future.

               Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Shiromani Akali Dal has won the DSGMC elections due to the blessings of the Guru Sahib and they will work day and night to serve the Sangat.

             Harmeet Singh Kalka said that he would be keen for the upliftment of the Panth by upholding the traditions and customs of the DSGMC. Kalka said that this year was the 50th year of enactment of the Delhi Gurdwaras Committee Act and during this time efforts for flourishing the Sikh faith will be intensified.

              Present on the occasion includes SGPC senior vice-president Surjit Singh Bhitewad, Women Akali Dal Delhi President Bibi Ranjit Kaur, SGPC members Bhai Manjit Singh, Bhai Ram Singh, Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Mangwinder Singh Khaparkheri, Bawa Singh Gumanpura, Amarjit Singh Bhalaipur, Jarnail Singh Dogranwala, Harpal Singh Jalla, Shiromani Akal Dal leader Gurpartap Singh Tikka, Delhi Committee Member Sukhwinder Singh Babbar, Amarjit Singh, Jasbir Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Harjit Singh, Rajinder Singh, Jagdeep Singh Kahlon Chairman Legal Cell, Manager Sri Darbar Sahib Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, OSDs to SGPC President Dr. Amrik Singh Latifpur and Dr. Sukhbir Singh, superintendent Malkit Singh Beharwal and others were present.
