Beneficiaries in Kapurthala gets additional Rs.5.61 crore as pensions in July 2021

Enhanced double pension released to more than 71547 beneficiaries

Kapurthala, August 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a major push to facilitate the needy ones , the Punjab Government has doubled the old age and other pensions from July 2021, resulting in the additional benefit of Rs. 5.61 crore to the 71547 beneficiaries in kapurthala district.

          While taking part in the online program to provide the benefits to the people here at DAC, Deputy commissioner kapurthala Mrs. Deepti uppal said that the monthly pension has been increased to Rs 1500 PM against the earlier Rs. 750 PM. She said that it includes all catageories like Old ages, widows, Physically challenged people etc.

          She also said that in July 2021 , nearly 71547 people gets Rs. 10.73 crore as pension against the earlier Rs.5.12 crore in June 2021 to the 68294 beneficiaries. The district also witnessed increase of 3253 beneficiaries in July 2021 across the district.

           District social security officer Mr Birender kumar and District program officer Saneh lata said that the special programs have been organized at 10 different locations in the district to facilitate the pensioners which includes Sidhwan dona , kala sanghaian, Boot, Dadwindi , talwandi chaudriyan, fatty dhingha , Ramgarh , Nangal lubana , dhaliwal bet , Harbanspur and Nangal majha.

           They also said that the remaining beneficiaries to get the pension benefits in their bank accounts on or before September 1st , 2021.

                 Prominent amongst present on the occasion included block congress president amarjit singh saidowal , block samiti member Gurdeep singh bishanpur .
