FDA Kapurthala asks sweet shop owners to follow safety measures in true spirit

 Conducts meeting to ensure only quality products for sale in festive season

Kapurthala, September 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Keeping in view the upcoming festive season , the FDA Kapurthala has organised a meeting with sweet shop owners to aware them about the safety measures to be taken in this season.

            Assistant food commissioner Mr. Harjot pal singh said that as per the new directions all the food business owners of sweet shop, bakery, hotel, restaurants, fast food and retailers, wholesalers etc. to ensure that the premises of their units are thoroughly cleaned well in advance before Diwali. Besides that Pest control of the premises and adequate drainage facility of the water.

            He also said that the condemned material/equipment and scrap (material which is not at all to be put to use) should be discarded and under no circumstances should be placed in the business premises.

            Specific care to be given with respect to hygiene and sanitary condition of the washroom/refreshing facility located in the business premises, he added.

            He also said that the Expired products (if any) to be kept in an area marked “Expired Products, Not For Sale” and the expired products are not at all put at display for sale to public.
