Deputy Commissioner takes stock of polling stations in Nawanshahar

Nawanshahar, October 6 (Punjab Post Bureau)  – As per the instructions of Election Commission of India, 100 per cent physical verification of polling stations is to be done in view of the forthcoming Assembly elections-2022. District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal carried out checking of booths falling in the Nawanshahr Vidhan Sabha constituency in the district today. During the checking, he inspected the polling booths at Government Senior Secondary School Nawanshahr, Doaba Sikh National School Saloh Road Doaba Arya Senior Secondary School Rahon Road and the Chief Agriculture Office. During the checking, He also evaluated the essential facilities available to the voters at each booth as per the EC’s instructions. During the checking, he found that all the facilities provided by the Election Commission of India to the voters were available. On this occasion, S.D.M-cum-Electoral Registration Officer Nawanshahr Jagdish Singh Johal, Tehsildar Nawanshahr Baljinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar Kulwaran Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Raj Kumar and other officials were present.
