Amritsar, October 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) – I.G Border Range Amritsar Mr. Mohnish Chawla inaugurated the
Zonal Youth Festival of Education Colleges in the Dasmesh Auditorium of the Guru Nanak Dev University in the presence of student-artists of the various education colleges affiliated to the University. He was here to participate in the inaugural ceremony of Zonal Youth Festival as chief guest.
Mr. Chawla said that such competitions develop talent and creativity skills amongst the students and with this students achieved well growth environment with positivity. A positive attitude is not just brings joy on your face but it is more than that. He said that optimistic mindset and attitude could results super success in life. He said that with positivity all around you, amazing changes could happen.
While welcoming the chief guest and others, Prof. Anish Dua, Dean Student’s Welfare and Incharge Youth Welfare Deaparment said that the University is committed for the overall development & growth its students and Vice Chancellor Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu is taking care with his dedicated efforts. Sh. Baljit Singh Sekhon Advisor and officials were also present on this occasion.
On the inaugural day, the competitions started with Group Shabad/Bhajan followed by Group Song Indian, Geet Gazal, Folk Song. On the second stage of Architecture Department the Painting on the Spot, Cartooning, Poster Making, Collage, Sketching, Clay Modeling, Slogan Writing, Painting (Still Life) were organized. In the Conference Hall Quiz (Preliminary) was organized. On October 26 the competitions of Costume Parade, Skit, Mimicry, Gidha, Poetical Symposium, Elocution and Debate will be organized.
