Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib by on new year Nanakshahi Samvat 554

Amritsar, March 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – At the start of new year Nanakshahi Samvat 554, a large number of pilgrims paid obeisance at Sri Harmandar Sahib today and had spiritual peace listening to Gurbani Kirtan. Meanwhile, after the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib organised by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, hazuri raagi jatha of Bhai Simarpreet Singh of Sri Harmandar Sahib connected the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan. Ardas (prayer) was offered by Bhai Prem Singh and kathawachak (narrator) Giani Jaswant Singh recited the holy Hukamnama for the Sangat.

              During the function, Giani Jaswant Singh congratulated the Sangat on the occasion of new year and encouraged them to live life as per the teachings of Gurbani. Meanwhile, the secretary of the SGPC S. Mohinder Singh Ahli also congratulated the Sangat on the new year and urged them to celebrate the historic days according to the Nanakshahi calendar.

              Those present in the event included SGPC executive committee member S. Harjap Singh, secretary Mohinder Singh, additional secretary Partap Singh, assistant secretary Kulwinder Singh, S. Sakatar Singh, S. Balwinder Singh, S. Sukhbir Singh, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Gurinder Singh, superintendent Malkit Singh Beharwal, kathawachak Bhai Harmitar Singh, S. Baghel Singh, S. Nishan Singh, S. Darshan Singh and the Sangat.
