Amritsar, August 3 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Sikligar and Vanjara Sikhs under the leadership of Dalip Singh arrived at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib for paying obeisance at the Sikh shrines. They who were welcomed by the SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami. This jatha also visited historical Sikh shrines including Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib and different historical Gurdwaras. Advocate Dhami said the Sikligar and Vanjara Sikhs are integral part of the Qaum (community) and the SGPC is constantly making efforts for their welfare.
He said the SGPC provides the schools fees of Sikligar and Vanjara Sikh children to make them self-reliant and it was also decided in the past to arrange pilgrimage of these Sikh families to different Gurdwaras. A jatha of 315 pilgrims has reached to visit different Gurdwaras of Punjab.
