Will not allow goons of liquor vendors to disturb people’s functions -NRI affairs Minister

Assures strict action against all accused in amritsar case while visiting the NRI family

Amritsar, November 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Cabinet minister for NRI affairs Mr Kuldeep singh Dhaliwal said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Mr Bhagwant Mann will not allow the goons of liquor vendors to disturb the peoples function.

Referring to the incident taken place few days back in a marriage function of NRI family at Amritsar , the Minister assured the concerned family that the Punjab Government will ensure that all the culprits behind the bars in that case while visiting the NRI family today .

`           The minister has made it clear that in any case if any liquor vendor gets any input about the serving of liquor in social function against the norms , the liquor vendor and their goons has no authority to disturb the function as it totally falls under the domain of Excise and police department.

He also said that the matter has been taken with the Excise Minister Mr Harpal singh cheema and DGP Punjab to fix the responsibility of concerned departments to ensure justice to the NRI family .

The minister while hailing the role of NRI in the overall development of the state , said that the clear instructions has been passed to the concerned police and excise departments to ensure justice to the NRI family by taking exemplary action against the culprits in that case

The minister who spent almost 15 years at abroad also assured the family that during investigation if the role of any government official would found , he/she would have to face the stern action .

It may be mentioned here that under the DCP City 3, the police has arrested 12 accused in that case .

Family members Kanwardeep singh and Jaskiran kaur express satisfaction on the investigation and arresting of accused in the case.
