The suggestions of the Sangat will be taken for the budget of SGPC – Bhai Grewal

SGPC releases special email for receiving budget suggestions

 Amritsar, February 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To prepare this fiscal year’s (2023-24) budget of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), the suggestions of the Sangat would be made an important part and given preference. For the first time ever, the SGPC has released a special email identity for receiving views and suggestions regarding the budget of Sikh body.

The SGPC’s budget session would be invited next month in March, for which, a sub-committee has been constituted by SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami. This committee’s is comprised of SGPC senior vice-president Baldev Singh Qaimpuri, general secretary Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal, executive member Jarnail Singh Kartarpur, member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Bhai Amarjit Singh Chawla, Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh Khalsa, Sarvan Singh Kular, and Kulwant Singh Mannan.

SGPC general secretary Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal said that for preparing this year’s budget apart from recommendations of the sub-committee, the suggestions of Sangat are also being invited. He said the SGPC has released a special email identity sgpcbudgetsuggestions@gmail.com for receiving the budget related suggestions from Sangat. This email would be published on SGPC’s website and social media platforms.

Bhai Grewal appealed to the Sangat to send their valuable suggestions regarding the SGPC budget, so that the budget can be prepared as per the sentiments of the Sangat during this fiscal year. He said that the meetings of the budget sub-committee formed by SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami has been holding several meetings since the past one month, in which various financial aspects are being discussed. He said that this effort of inviting Sangat’s suggestion is being made for the first time and it is hoped that it will yield good results.

Bhai Grewal said the SGPC will prepare a budget for Gurdwara Sahibs, educational institutions, Dharma Prachar Committee, press and publication, trust, and other funds.
