Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School G.T Road observes World Heritage Day

Amritsar, April 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To emphasize and exchange the importance of knowledge between generations to promote the lessons for conservations and protection of Cultural Heritage, World Heritage day was observed with great splendor by SGHPS G.T Road, Amritsar run under the aegis of CKDCS. The day was celebrated with variety of activities including special morning assembly. A Collage Making activity was organized for grade VIII. Students while participating enthusiastically depicted the theme of the year  ‘Heritage Changes’ in their creative forms. Speeches were also delivered by the students focusing on critical topic of addressing climate changes and how that relates to cultural heritage. Principal S. Mandeep Singh alongwith Headmistress Mrs. Kawalpreet Kaur visited the classes and appreciated the efforts of the students. In his message, he said that celebrating world Heritage Day, also known as International day for monuments and sites, is an opportunity to pave the importance of safeguarding, conserving and preserving our heritage.
