Passport Office Amritsar opens for work on Saturday July 22

Amritsar, July 21   (Punjab Post Bureau) –  N.K Shil Passport Officer, Amritsar has decided to hold a Passport Mela on Saturday on 22^nd of July 2023to reduce the delay in getting appointment for submission of applications observed dueto massive demand for passport owing to heavy rush for travel abroad post pandemic. Appointments for such Melas are released keeping in view the ease and convenience of such applicants and pressing problems faced especially by Students/employment/IELTS aspirants/Hajis/ Kartarpur pilgrims.

And to make passport appointments available at an earlier date, Passport Seva Kendra Amritsar and Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Ferozepur will remain open on Saturdays 08, 15 and 22^nd of July 2023. (PSK Amritsar and POPSK Ferozepur were kept open on 8 and 15 July 2023).

Applicants are to  log on to the passport India website www.passportindia.gov.in or mPassportSeva app to fill  the application form online, make payment of passport fee online through debit/credit card or internet banking of state bank of India (as mentioned on the website),” he intimated.

Appointments for the Passport Mela would be allotted by the system on first come first serve basis as per availability. Applicants with appointments of that day will only be allowed entry.
