Khalsa College organizes Workshop on “Financial Education for Young Citizens”

Amritsar, October 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The P.G Department of Commerce and Business Administration Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA) organized the Workshop on “Financial Education for Young Citizens”, in collaboration with National Institute of Securities Marketes (NISM) Mumbi and Aditya Birla Capital Foundation. The Key Speaker of this Workshop was Bhagwant Singh NISM Empanelled Resource Person. Dr. Ajay Sehgal (Workshop Co-ordinator) highlighted the main theme of this Workshop that it aims to create understanding of the basic financial concepts and skills amongst the students to navigate their way through the financial landscape successfully.

The Resource person acquainted the students about financial education to understand the impact of their financial decisions on their overall financial health, enabling them to make better-informed decisions.

Principal Dr. Mehal Singh asked the students that it is significant need to understand and be able to manage your finances. Financial literacy programmes are often targeted at adults, but it’s also important that children learn about money management at an early age, said he. Dr. A.K Kahlon said  the financial literacy will enable the students to possess the set of skills and knowledge that allows an individual to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources Prof. Meenu Chopra conducted the stage and  presented vote of thanks. Around 70 students participated in this programme.
