DAV Public School Std–V showcase talent in Annual Function Transition Chintan

 Amritsar, December 2 (Punjab Post Bureau) – With the blessings of Arya Ratan Padma Shree Dr. Punam  Suri President DAV CMC New Delhi and under the guidance of Sh. V.K Chopra, Director Public Schools DAV CMC  New Delhi, Dr. Neelam  Kamra Regional Officer Punjab Zone-A and  Dr.  Pushpinder Walia Manager of the school and Principal BBK DAV College for Women the Annual Function of Std-V  Transition Chintan Part –1 unfolded with grandeur.

The event witnessed the participation of 483 Std V students presenting a spectacular performance in form of dance, drama and role play. Their confident and enthusiastic display conveyed a powerful message urging introspection into our tendencies of neglecting positives and embracing negatives in the guise of modernisation, potentially leading us into a dark future.

The function was presented in 2 shows. For the morning show, Kiran Sawandkar IDES Chief Executive Officer Cantonment Board Amritsar graced the function as the Chief Guest and for the evening show, Kamaljit Singh Assistant Commissioner of Customs Amritsar honoured  with his benign presence as the Chief Guest.

Advocate Sudarashan Kapoor senior member of LMC and Chairman of esteemed schools and colleges presided over the function and Dr. Pushpinder Walia distinction to the event as the Guest of Honour.

The Chief Guest Kiran Sawandkar appreciated the performance of the children and the efforts of the school. He also encouraged the children to value their culture and not be influenced by negativity around them.

The chief guest Kamaljit Singh stressed upon the parents to motivate children to learn from their experiences and make positive choices in life through hard work and moral strength, and never be disheartened by minor failures

Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A extended her blessings and encouraged the children  to go from strength to strength and keep aspiring for betterment of their future.

In her speech, the Guest of Honour for the function Dr. Pushpinder Wali, shared her personal experiences, of how her mother played a crucial role in nurturing love for reading. She urged the parents to instil  love for reading in their children from an early age as it opens doors to endless opportunities.

Principal of the school Dr. Pallavi Sethi thanked the elite gathering and appreciated the efforts of the students and the staff. She added that the success of any institution lies in the trust of the visionary Management and the support and faith of the parents.

Ms. Shama Sharma, Co-curricular In-charge Mrs. Harpreet Oberoi Supervisor Std IV and V and Mrs. Sehej along with their team left no stone unturned to bring out the best in the students. The students’ performances coupled with the esteemed presence of dignitaries made Transition Chintan -1 a memorable and thought provoking experience for all.
