Amritsar, November 23 (Punjab Post Bureau) – KT will hold “KAUSA Trust Punjab State Art Exhibition 2024” The 
exhibition will be inaugurated on 24th November 2024 at 4:00 PM by Padma Shri Harmohinder Singh Bedi Chancellor Central University of Himachal Pradesh. The Chief Guest will also present the awards. The event promises to be an exciting celebration of art, culture, and creativity, bringing together artists, art lovers, and cultural enthusiasts from different parts of Punjab.
KT’s Chairperson Mrs. Swaroop Dar and President Shri Rohit Caul from New Delhi will grace the event with their presence. Secretary Rajesh Raina, Treasurer Dr. K.R Tuli and Director Brajesh Jolly shared that the Punjab State Art Exhibition 2024 received an overwhelming response, with 400 artworks submitted for consideration. This high number reflects the growing interest in the exhibition and the vibrant artistic community in Punjab in general and the commitment of KT:Kalã towards promotion of art in particular. The selection process, led by an esteemed jury of Dr. Karuna Mohindra (Ludhiana), Swapnil Patil (Noida), and Neenu Vij (Chandigarh) was thorough and meticulous; ensuring that only the best works would be showcased. Out of the 400 submissions, 160 artworks were selected for display, representing a diverse range of styles, mediums, and themes. This selection highlights the dynamic creativity and rich cultural heritage of Punjab’s artists, showcasing everything from traditional techniques to contemporary expressions. Out of these 160 works, the jury has selected 20 artworks for cash awards. This includes 10 Awards of Rs.10,000 each for professional artists and 10 Awards of Rs. 5000 each for budding artists, recognizing the talent and creativity in the art community.
Additionally, the jury has decided to honour 20 artists (both professional and budding) with Highly Commended Certificates. This Jury comprising Dr. Lalit Gopal Parashar (Amritsar), Dr. Anupam Bhatnagar (Ajmer), Basudeb Bisvas (Jalandhar) and Brajesh Jolly. The Punjab State Art Exhibition 2024 will be open to the public from 24th to 30th November 2024.
