Amritsar, August 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – BBK DAV College for Women participated in Nasha Mukt Yuva for 
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyanin inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. During his speech, the Prime Minister emphasised upon the idea of creating a drug-free, healthy, and responsible youth population as young people are the driving force of India’s future.
There was a theatrical item presented by National School of Drama which was deeply appreciated. Addressing the students, Advocate Vipan Bhasin Former Rotary District Governor as well as Member, Local Advisory Committee acquainted them with the detrimental effects of drug consumption. During this event, a pledge was taken by all present to build a healthy, aware and empowered youth.
In her address, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia encouraged the students to abstain from drugs and rather achieve success by their hard work and commitment towards society. She also remarked that the nation can progress economically, socially, and technologically only when its youth are healthy, productive, and morally responsible.
During this live streaming, Dr. Anita Narendra, Dean, Community Development Initiatives, Mr. Anurag Gupta, Nodal Officer of NAPDDR Scheme, NSS Programme Officers Dr. Anterpreet Kaur, Ms. Akshika Aneja and Ms. Ravinderpal Kaur along with NSS volunteers, NCC cadets and faculty members, were present.
