Convocation of Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences held

Amritsar, Nov. 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Convocation of Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences & Research PPN0511201702held at Mall Mandi to mark the Silver Jubilee Celebration & 1st Mega Almuni Meet. Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar President SGPC & Chairman Trust presided over the function. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu Vice Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University was Chief Guest & Dr. Roop Singh Secretary Trust Guest of Honor, who distributed the degrees.

In his address Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu said that this Institute which is being run by the SGPC is doing great service to the people. He profusely congratulated the 110 Graduate and 15 MDS Post Graduates degrees who received their degrees. He exorted the young doctors to serve the society with missionary zeal, imphazing that they belong to nobelist of all professions and where infact healers choseny by the Waheguru.

 Prof. Bandugar contgraulated Management & all the students of the Institute. Prof. Badungar said that  Institute established in the year 1992 has completed its 25 years and. He honoured Dental College Ex-Principals Dr. S.S Sidhu and Dr. Charanjit Singh Bal and also families of deceased Principals Dr. Santosh Riar, Dr. R.K. Khanna and Dr. Sumeet Kaur Sandhu for their excellence services.

 Dr. Kavipal Singh Principal presented the progresss report of the institute. He said that on average 300 patients are seen in the OPD daily with specilised dental surgeries in some departments. The BDS seats are proposed to be increased to 100 from the present 60. Dr. Roop Singh Secretary Trust, proposed vote of thanks. Pewsent on the occasion includes Surjit Singh Bhittewad & Gurbachan Singh Karmuwala Member Trust, Dr. A.P Singh, Dean, SGRD University, Dr. Baljeet Singh Khurana Registrar, Amandeep Singh Deputy Registrar were present.
