Voters Day Celebrated at DAV College

Amritsar, February 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – NSS Department of DAV College celebrated the voters Day in College Campus. This was completely student oriented activity in which NSS Students participated enthusiastically.

Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar enlightened the students about Right to Vote. In his motivational talk, he invoked the students to make best use of their right. He further added that main purpose behind celebrating this day is to increase enrolment of voters, especially young voters.

Prof. Surinder Kumar Head Department of Political Science told that this day is celebrated in order to spread awareness among voters regarding effective participation in the electoral process and he also interacted with the students to impart electoral awareness among them. During the event, Dr. Ritu Arora Incharge NSS, Prof. Loveleen Kaur, Prof. Vikas Behal and Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Prof. Gurdas Singh Sekhon, Prof. Madan Mohan, Prof. BB Yadav, Prof. R.K Jha was also present.
