University Business School organized 2nd National Seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility

PPN2103201807Amritsar 21 March 2018 – University Business School (UBS) of Guru Nanak Dev University organized 2nd National Seminar on “Corporate Social Responsibility with reference to Business in India” sponsored by UGC-SAP. Prof. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, keynote speaker of the seminar and co-ordinatior UGC-SAP, emphasized on Triple_Bottom_Line approach which could be used as a framework for measuring and reporting the corporate performance. He also informed that consumers are increasingly looking forward for those companies that are, in some way, ethically, environmentally and socially responsible. Dr. Jasveen Kaur, Head, UBS shared the departmental information with the delegates. Prof. B.S Hundal, organizing secretary of the seminar welcomed the guests to this event. Prof. B. S Mann, co-organizing secretary shared his value able views with delegates. He said that the corporate have to concentrate on the three P’s i.e. profit, people and plants.  Dr. Vikram Sandhu, organizer of the seminar said that more than 60 delegates have presented their research papers in the seminar. He thanked Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu for providing the required support for the conduct of the seminar. He also thanked chief guest of valedictory session Prof. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, all the faculty members, delegates, non teaching staff and students for their contribution towards the success of this seminar.
