BBK DAV Handball team got runners-up position in Inter-College Handball Championship

Amritsar, Apr. 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Handball team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar got runners-up position in the GNDU Inter-College Handball Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University. The college team put up a splendid show and defeated SD College Dinanagar, SR Govt. College Amritsar and GNDU Campus Amritsar. Eight players of the college team include Ms. Anubir Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Rajbir Kaur, Naseebo, Harmandeep Kaur Sandhu, Sandeep Kaur, Bhagya Shree Roy and Shamma participated in All India Intervarsity Championship held at Bilaspur (HP). Mr. Sudershan Kapoor Chairman, Local Managing Committee and Principal, Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. The principal acknowledging the great achievements of the college players remarked that they have made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Ms. Anubir Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Rajbir Kaur, Naseebo, Harmandeep Kaur Sandhu, Sandeep Kaur, Bhagya Shree Roy, Shamma, Anita, Ramandeep Kaur, Nishtha Sankhwar, Chanpreet Kaur, Daljit Kaur, Kamaljit Kaur and Suman Rani are team members. Dr. VP lakhanpal, (Member, Local Managing Committee), Dr. Neera Sharma (Principal, DAV School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar), Mr. Paramjit (Principal, MKD DAV School, Attari)  Mr. Heera Lal Kandhari (Arya Samaj), Mr. Rakesh Mehra (Arya Samaj), Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, Ms. Savita Kumari, Ms. Gaganpreet Kaur, teachers along with faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
