Know our Forces: Military Equipment, Band and Motor Cycle display at Gndu

Amritsar, August 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – “Know Our Forces”: Military Equipment, Band and Motor Cycle display  was organized by Panther Division at Guru Nanak Dev University on 15^th Aug  to commemorate 73^rd Independence Day Celebrations. The event was organized with an aim to generate and promote patriotic fervor and pride for country amongst the school / college children and to showcase the Indian Army’s capabilities, ethos and culture to motivate young boys and girls to choose this extraordinary career of Army as “The Way of Life”. The event was attended by a large number of War Veterans, Civil Dignitaries, Students and NCC Cadets.

The event was well organized and appreciated by all. The excitement and adrenaline rush of the crowd could be seen by the way they clicked pictures of Band and Motor Cycle Display with Artillery Guns, holding rifles and also from the flurry of questions that they were asking from the immaculately dressed up soldiers. The exhibition displayed a plethora of weapon systems and equipment of the Indian Army.

A 3 Km Mini Marathon for school children was also organised as part of Run for Fun event on the occasion inside the premises of Guru Nanak Dev University.
