Amritsar, Nov 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Gaiety marked the celebration of Children’s Day, the birth anniversary of the beloved Chacha of Children Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru the first Prime Minister of free India at DAV Public School Lawrence Road.
To make the day special for the students, the morning assembly was conducted by the teachers. The teachers sang inspiring songs for the students. They informed the students about the relevance and importance of the day. The students were encouraged to follow the ideals of Pt. Nehru through poems.‘Be yourself and ‘Stand for your belief’s was a message made clear by the teachers, who inspired the students through a song to nurture goodness in them and progress in life. The main attraction was a Nukkad Natak presented by the teachers. Seeing the declining values and ethics among the younger generation, the teachers chose a very effective medium of Nukkad Natak to make their message loud and clear. They touched the sensitive issue of increasing dependency of the younger generation to social media leading to decline in true relationships and family bonding.
Regional Officer Punjab Zone A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar sent their blessings for the students on this occasion.
Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school congratulated the students on their day. She added that students must imbibe values of sacrifice, brotherhood, tolerance and move ahead to make the country shine on the global front.
