Pulse Polio Drive Begins in Kaputhala today

Kapurthala, Jan 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Civil Surgeon Dr. Jasmeet Bawa inaugurated the three day National pulse polio round at civil hospital and near Mani Mahesh mandir camps in Kapurthala and SDH & Mohalla Deewana in Sultanpur Lodhi. She also supervised several booths in slum areas of Kapurthala. Civil surgeon Dr. Jasmeet Bawa said that 590 booths were set up across the district and these were manned by about 1968 team members for three day campaign (i.e from Jan. 19 to 21 Jan. 2020). She further added that special attention has been paid to high risk areas such as slums, brick – klins, construction sites. In Sdh Phagwara MLA B.S Dhaliwal inaugurated the camp. IMA & Rotary Club fully supported the pulse polio campaign. As per reports total 40135 Children covered today. 38444 Children covered in Booths and 1691 in Transit Points.

            Dio Dr. Asha Mangatsaid that total 83194 children between the age group of 0-5 years would be administered pulse polio drops during the three day campaign. On the occasion Acs Dr. Ramesh Kumari Banga, IMA President Dr. Madhu Sudan Sangar, Dr. Surjit Kaur, Dr. Sarabjeet Singh, Dr. Ranbir Kaushal, Dr. Baldev Singh Momi, Dr. Sandeep Dhawan, Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, Dr. Sonia, Dr. Amitoj Multani, Vijay Kalia were also present on the occasion.
