Positive cases on decline, but danger still looms large – Deepti Uppal

District crosses 75 thousand samplings

Kapurthala, October 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal said that the district have registered sharp decline in the covid positive cases which is a good sign but the danger is still here as the district have high death rate.

               Today addressing the residents Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration have made unbridled efforts bears fruit as the decline in positive cases were reported from last few days besides improving the death rate in the district.

                  She said that the early detection of covid cases is most important thing and to ensure the testing at every office, post office, banks ,grain markets the district administration have deputed adequate teams comprising health, revenue, mandi board officials.

                Besides that Deputy medical commissioner Kapurthala Dr. Sarika Duggal and District Dental health officer also deputed to keep a check on the sample collection process in the filed by visiting across the district. She said that the district have crossed the 75 thousand samples, out of which 3625 were positive cases with 150 deaths.

                She also informed that more than 500 mission Fateh kits to be distributed to the patients under home isolation which includes oximeter, pulse meter, literature, 15 days medicine, kahra, immunity booster.

                 To facilitate the home isolated patients, Deputy Commissioner said that the home isolation control unit to again start the collection of health vitals as only 12 % people has approached the medical officials with their vitals.
