Bibi Jagir Kaur strongly condemns attack on Sikhs in Afghanistan

Amritsar, July 1(Punjab Post Bureau) – The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Bibi Jagir Kaur has strongly condemned the grenade attack targeting the minority Sikh community in Jalalabad (Afghanistan). She appealed Government of India to talk with the Afghanistan Govt. to ensure the safety of life and property of Sikhs there.  

                In a statement issued from the SGPC office on Thursday Bibi Jagir Kaur said that a group of Sikh leaders was targeted in Afghanistan and several top leaders of the Sikh community were killed. Gurdwara Sahib in Kabul was also attacked in which many Sikhs had lost their lives.”

                  Bibi Jagir Kaur said appropriate steps should be taken by the Centre government to ensure the safety of Sikhs in Afghanistan as a matter of priority. She also prayed for the recovery of Sikhs injured in Afghanistan attack.
