Congregation organised at Sri Akal Takht on occasion of Guruship Day of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib

Grandeur decorated at Sri Harmandar Sahib, Sri Akal Takht Sahib & Baba Atal Rai Sahib

 Amritsar, May 23 (Punjab Pst Bureau) – Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee today celebrated the Guruship Day of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib, the sixth Sikh Guru, with devotion and reverence at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

              After the bhog hazuri raagi jatha of Bhai Gurpreet Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib connected the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan and Bhai Gurcharan Singh offered ardas (prayer).

            Congratulating the Sangat on the occasion of Guruship Day of the sixth Guru, Head Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Gurmukh Singh said that the life of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and his blessings are of great importance to the Sikh Qaum (community) and it is duty of every Sikh to take guidance from the same.

                 Those present during the congregation includes former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh, SGPC member Bhai Manjit Singh, Dharam Prachar Committee member Bhai Ajaib Singh, additional head granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Bhai Malkit Singh, additional secretary Partap Singh, Bijai Singh, assistant secretary Kulwinder Singh, Balwinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Sukhbir Singh, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Sulakhan Singh, superintendent Malkeet Singh, manager Baghel Singh, additional manager Iqbal Singh, Nishan Singh and Jaspal Singh Dhade.

                 On the occasion a large number of Sangat paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib and listened to the divine Gurbani Kirtan. The historical grandeur decorated at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai Sahib, became the center of attraction.

                Meanwhile, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh, congratulating on the occasion of Guruship Day of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib, encouraged the Sangat to walk on the passage shown by the Guru.
