Advocate Dhami honoured by US resident Pannu, who recorded Sikh heritage in Pakistan

Amritsar, August 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – United States based researcher Dalvir Singh Pannu today held a meeting with SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and held a discussion about lost Sikh heritage in India and Pakistan.

                 On this occasion, Dalvir Singh gave a book ‘The Sikh Heritage – Beyond Borders’, to Advocate Dhami, written by him based on the record of Sikh heritage in Pakistan and sought support for research work in future.

               Appreciating the work done by Dalvir Singh Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that such efforts are very important to connect the new generation with their culture and heritage. He said there are hundreds of Sikh shrines and Gurdwaras in Pakistan including Janam Asthan (birth place) of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib but sadly the condition of most of the historical shrines is not good.

               He said the SGPC is ready to provide every possible support for Sikh heritage related research work and a discussion will be held in this regard in the meeting of Sikh Itihas Research Board. Advocate Dhami also honoured Dalvir Singh.

                Present on this occasion included SGPC member Bhai Rajinder Singh,  Surjit Singh, Bhai Ram Singh, Ajaib Singh Abhyasi,. Hardalbir Singh, additional secretary Pratap Singh.
