Deputy Commissioner visited the Ajnala Border area

  Meets Villages Defense Committee members, BSF Official and Farmers

Amritsar, June 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amit Talwar today visited the border area of ​​Ajnala along with civil, police and BSF officials, where he inspected the work being done by various departments specially Flood Control measures and Village Defense Committee. BSF and Farmers discussed many issue with DC.  SDM Ajnala Arvindarpal Singh, DSP Sanjeev Kumar District Revenue Officer Kishan Kumar, Er. Drains Gurbir Singh SDO, Ramandeep Singh BSF 73 Battalion officers and other civil and police officers also part of this visit.  Talwar visited Saharan, Singhoke, Panjgrain, Kot Razada, Shahpur, BOP Chandigarh and inspected border check posts.

The farmers cultivating the land across the fence demanded electricity supply for irrigation during the day time i.e 9 to 5, as long as they go to work in the fields. DC discussed this demand with the PSPCL officials and directs to fulfil this demand.

Meanwhile, he inspected the flood control measure and the soil erosion of the fields by the Ravi River near the Musa village. Talwar instructed the drains department to draw up a solid plan to stop it.

At Panjgari village Deputy Commissioner Talwar held a meeting with the members of Village Defense Committees of Singhoke, Sehjada and Panjgari.
