Camp organized by Amritsar Smart City Ltd. for registration of diesel autos

Rs.500/- will be given in cash on registration

Amritsar, June 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The city of Amritsar is recognized all over the world from religious, historical and economic point of view, due to which lakhs of pilgrims come daily by various means of transport to visit the religious and historical places of this holy city. To maintain this movement of passengers, thousands of diesel autos as well as Jugaroo e-rickshaws are currently being used in the city, but there is no firm data regarding these diesel autos and e-rickshaws.

Keeping this in mind, Amritsar Smart City Limited is conducting a survey for data collection of diesel autos. A camp has been organized from 20-06-2023 to 22-06-2023 at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama, Company Bagh, in which each diesel auto driver will be given an honorarium of Rs.500/- for getting his diesel auto registered. Which is being given so as to reimburse the earning of diesel auto drivers during the time taken for registration and data collection with the department which has received an overwhelming response from diesel auto drivers plying in the city.

CEO Smart City-cum-Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sandeep Rishi giving information in this regard said that several programs have been prepared by the government under the Amritsar City Project to make Amritsar city smart and its environment green and easy and all these development works are possible, if the department has any required data. Although agencies are hired by the government to collect such data, but initiative has been taken to collect data of diesel autos running in the city under which a camp has been organized at Company Bagh from 20-06-2023 to 22-06-2023 by Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama, Amritsar Smart City Limited.

He has appealed that every auto driver brother can get his diesel auto registered in this camp and Rs.500/- is being given to compensate for the time taken for this registration. Diesel auto drivers can take advantage of which, due to which the record of diesel autos running in Amritsar city will be made with the government and on the other hand, diesel autos running in the city will be registered whose benefit they will get in future.
