Amritsar, Feb. 16 (Manjit Kaur) – Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School Majitha Road Bypass came up with a novel idea of welcoming its new entrants in the Pre-Primary Section by celebrating the special bond of love between the child and the parents through a colourful and funfilled event “My Baby My Valentine” on 14-02-2015 for which the passage and the auditorium of the school was turned into a Fairy Land. The function began by invoking the blessings of the almighty. Principal Mrs.Dapinder Kaur extended a floral welcome to the worthy Members Incharge of the School S. Rajmohinder Singh Majitha, Er. Jaspal Singh ( F.I.E) and Er. Navdeep Singh, Principal Mrs. Dapinder Kaur welcomed the august gathering and addressed the parents and stressed on the need of spending quality time with the kids. She added that the formative years of a child are the most crucial and if handled effectively, efficiently, lovingly and intelligently, nothing can stop the child from turning into a smart, mature and rational personality.
The teachers of the Pre-Primary wing presented an enactment highlighting the responsibilities of parents thus triggering off thoughts on good parenting. An entertaining dance performance was presented by Sukhleen a student of class Play Pen which was appreciated by one and all present. The highlight of the event was the modeling round of the mothers with their babies, wherein they showcased their talent in different attires. The mothers were awarded titles such as Charming mom, Confident Mom, Talented Mom, Mom with beautiful smile etc after their performance on stage. Fun filled games were organized for the fathers as well . The Play Pen students were awarded prizes on their moving ahead to the Nursery Class. Member Incharge Er. Jaspal Singh addressed the gathering and endorsed the fact that parenting is infact a difficult task in the modern times. He congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the Principal & the staff on organizing such a function. Principal Mrs. Dapinder Kaur thanked the parents for their continual support and co-operation to the school and hoped this strong association will further strengthen and take the school to the highest pinnacle of glory.
