SGPC sent relief material (dry ration) for the earthquake victims

Amritsar, 27 April (Punjab Post Bureau) – Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee will send relief material (dry ration) for the earthquake victims of Nepal from the Chandigarh International Airport. In a press-note released from his office, Jathedar Avtar Singh President SGPC & Takhat Sri Harimander Ji Patna Sahib Committee said that about fifty employees under the leadership of S. Dalmegh Singh, Secretary, SGPC, will leave for Kathmandu (Nepal) from Chandigarh International Airport on 28-4-15 and they Camp at different places, prepare langer and help earthquake victims. He said the require ration has purchased from Chandigarh.

          It is worth mentioning that a three members team comprising of S. Rajinder Singh Mehta, S.Mohan Singh Bangi both executive members, S. Satbir Singh Ex-Secretary Dharam Parchar Committee has already reached Nepal on 26-4-15 to assess the loss caused due to devastating earthquake. S; Sukhdev Singh Bhura Kohna has been appointed Co-ordinator of this team.

          Jathedar Avtar Singh informed that SGPC, in co-operation with Takhat Sri Harimander Ji Patna Sahib Committee, will send ration (eatable food) for the people affected due to the earthquake in Bihar and different places. This team comprises of S. Harbhajan Singh Manavan Additional Secretary SGPC, S. Harpreet Singh Assistant Manager Sach Khand Sri Harimander Sahib,Amritsar, S. Balwinder Singh Hundal, Supervisor, S. Manjit Singh Store Keeper, S. Harbhinder Singh, Incharge Langer and S.Jaswinder Singh Ludhiana and S. Shailender Singh Senior Vice President & S. Sarjinder Singh General Secretary Takhat Sri Harimander Ji Patna Sahib. He said that these officials will carry ration on trucks from Takhat Sri Patna Sahib in accordance with the tenets bestowed by the Guru Sahib. He said that SGPC, in accordance with Sikh tenets, reaches to help of affected people whenever and natural calamity strikes in the Country. Similarly, this time also all possible help will be extended by SGPC & Takhat Sri Harimander Ji Patna Sahib Committee to the earthquake victims of Nepal & Bihar without any discrimination.
