NSS Day celebrated at BBK DAV College for Women

Amritsar, Sept. 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The NSS Unit of BBK DAV College for Women, celebrated NSS Day. Mr. Rajdeep Mehra (Asst. Prof. Punjabi) delivered a lecture on NSS. He told the volunteers about NSS objectives, its motto and its functioning. He shared his past experience as a NSS volunteer and also inspired the students to work and live for others. Mr. Rajdeep advised the students to adopt all the possible means to remove social evils from the society and serve the society in an unbiased way. He added that NSS is a way to live a peaceful life. The volunteers also carried the cleanliness drive in the college. For this purpose, college was divided into 4 zones and each zone was assigned to 25 students. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra congratulated the programme officers & volunteers on the occasion of NSS day and suggested the students to practically implement the real objective of NSS i.e. ‘not me but you’. The NSS badges were also distributed to about 284 NSS volunteers. Programme officers Mrs. Surbhi Sethi, Dr. Ms. Shefali Sharma, Ms. Neha Sehgal, Ms. Priyanka Chugh & Mrs. Alpana were also present on this occasion.
