Chhina hails Union Budget as ‘Pro-Farmers and Pro-Industry’

Rajinder M ChhinaAmritsar, February 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – BJP leader Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today hailed Union Budget as farmers’ and industry friendly and progressive in nature. He said the highest ever allocation to agriculture loans has been earmarked which is to the tune of Rs.10 lakh crores which will transform the farming sector. Apart from this Rs.8000 crores had been set aside for the dairy development and special incentives and lucrative offers had been made to small scale industry. Chhina who is contesting the Lok Sabha by-poll said that issuance of spoil health cards, setting up of agriculture labs, electrification of villages, households for poor, and huge tax incentives for the service class is a welcome step. “It is a progressive budget in which every class and section of society has been taken care of”, said Chhina adding that tax rebates for the medium and small scale industry would usher in a new era of industrial growth and development. He said in overall the budget will strengthen the infrastructure development, rural development, growth of the agriculture sector, foreign investment-inducing and thus pro-poor with a number of welfare scheme for the common citizen. “The poor section of the society has been taken care of in the budget and so are the farmers and the women’’, said Chhina adding that focus is also on strengthening country defence system and education. He also hailed the budgetary allocation for the Railways which will see new trains, safety measures and overall modernization of the rail network in the country.
