Pt. Gurudutt Vidhyarthi remembered with Reverence

Amritsar, March 18 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The death anniversary of Pt.Gurudutt Vidhayarthi  was observed with reverence at DAV Public School Lawrence Road today. Pt. Guru Dutt Vidyarthi was born on 26^th April 1864. He was religious by nature since his childhood. He had fascination for the celestial, heavenly and unearthly life and believed that there was some superpower that created this world. Soon he came under the flag of Arya Samaj and after reading Satyarth Prakash he became a member of Arya Samaj in 1880. He mastered Vedang Prakash of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and propagated Vedic teachings with great fervour and zeal. The teachers of the school informed the audience about the great life of Pt. Gurudutt who was an epitome of truthfulness and virtuousness. Taking inspiration from his life, the students pledged to follow his virtues which kept personal glory, earthly possessions and comfort aside.

Regional Director , Punjab Zone – A , Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar sent their blessings to the students on this occasion and asked them to acquire the wisdom which helps them to recognise right  from wrong and enables them to tread  the path of virtuosity. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school, while addressing the students said that he was a heroic soul, passionately zealous to bridge the distance between him and his goal towards spirituality. She advised students to show the same passion and conscientiousness in their life to fulfil their dreams.
