Chief Guest Prof. Dr. A.S Sidhu launched In-Lab at GNDU

Amritsar, March 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  University Business School (UBS) of Guru Nanak Dev University organized an event to launch innovation lab named as ‘In-Lab’. Prof. Dr. A.S. Sidhu was Chief Guest of the event. Dr. B.S Maan, Head, University Business School was the special guest. Dr. Vikram Sandhu, Organizing Secretary of the event enlightens the students regarding entrepreneurship and ‘In-Lab’.

Dr. Vikram Sandhu welcomed the various entrepreneurs of the region- Mr. Abhishek Kashyap (Founder, Food Trails of India), Mrs. Saranpreet Kashyap, Mr. Varun Mehra (CEO, Mehra Dyeing Milling & Raising Works), Mr. Varinder Singh (Founder, Pick-a-Tea).  Mr. Sameer, manager NITCON and Mr. Jainendra Singh Bisht (Manager, Bank Of India) told about various funding schemes and sources of finances available. The event also comprised of Business Plan presentations by UBS students whereby they discussed their business ideas with the students and experts from industry and university. More than seven business ideas were presented by the budding entrepreneurs.

In-Lab is an incubation laboratory which is started by UBS of the University to foster entrepreneurship and innovation amongst students of University to boost their growth by offering them practical resources like workshops, seminars etc. In-Lab focuses to give students exposure to the real world and give them chance to apply their knowledge in their dream project. Mr. Varinder encouraged all the persons in the event to join the In-lab to nurture their ideas. Dr. Vikram Sandhu, Organizing Secretary of In-lab said that the lab will provide services to all the students of the university, corporates, teachers, researchers and the investors of the region.
