BBK DAV College for Women organised Farewell ‘Khushrang…Colours of Joy-2017’ in Urvi auditorium to bid adieu to the students passing out of the college. Mrs. Iqbal Singh Bedi from Bedi Group of Industries was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The event comprised of three rounds of modelling in which around 100 girls dressed in vibrant attires dazzled the ramp. Mesmerising songs and dance performances, representing the rich culture of our state, were also staged. Title of Noor-e-Jahan was conferred on Aknkasha Sharma, B.Com Semester-VI, while the title of Noor-e-Nazar was bestowed upon Srishti Grover, B.Com Semester-VI. The title Noor-e-Mehfil was given to Ms. Shagun, BA Semester-VI.
While showering her blessing upon the students passing out of the institution, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that we must take pride being women and should make sure that our parents and our institution should also feel the same for us. She added that professionally, women face big challenges and, therefore, they must prepare well to excel in every facet of life. Dr. Ritu Sharma, Dean, Youth Welfare, along with other faculty members, were present on the occasion.
